"The musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value, greater even than that of any other art. The main reason for this pre-eminence is that, as sacred song united to the words, it forms a necessary or integral part of the solemn liturgy."

Sacrosanctum Concilium, No. 112

ABOUT

Welcome to Gloria Dei – The Musica Sacra Project.

Founded by Australian soprano, and sacred music specialist, Grace Feltoe, this was a call to provide a large international resource library to the English speaking world, as a means for liturgical sacred music formation within the Catholic Church. With the growing renaissance of traditional sacred music within Catholic liturgies, this website is available with the hope that those within Church music ministry, those of a theological and apologetics background, or those who appreciate or are wishing to support the movement may find an accumulation of resources in one place. Content, events, reading resources and interviews will be continually added and updated, while those wishing to seek reverent, holy and universal music from contemporary Catholic composers may look through the online shop (coming soon).

The Musica Sacra Project is now also providing workshops internationally, for school age to adult formation, whether parish, schools, campuses, small groups and/or individually. With a very practical and choral approach, workshops can currently include Gregorian Chant, hymnody, polyphony and the propagation of reverent contemporary compositions. If you wish to host a workshop, please contact us.

This website is a voluntary initiative to educate and form musicians within the Church, highlighting the importance of Church teachings, and forming an international community and form music and spiritual collaboration across the world.

While this is a voluntary cause, please consider donating to help support the cause, to pay for website upkeep and to enable to project to grow. Any amount big or small would be most appreciated.
